Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between an “American-style box” and a “die-cut box”?
The difference between these two types of boxes lies in their structure, manufacturing method, assembly process, and intended use:
- American-Style Box (FEFCO 0201): This is the classic shipping box with top and bottom flaps that meet in the center and require adhesive tape to close. It is produced at very high speeds on industrial linear machines (gluing machines), is extremely economical, and is delivered flat. It is suitable for storage, warehouse logistics, and standard industrial shipping.
- Die-Cut Box: It is produced by die-cutting cardboard using a custom die. It features precision-fit joints, double walls, or self-closing bottoms and is typically assembled by folding the cardboard without the use of adhesive tape or glue. It offers a refined, high-end aesthetic and is ideal for product packaging, e-commerce, and retail displays.
- What kinds of e-commerce and shipping boxes do you have?
Our e-commerce product line includes models for all types of products: self-assembling die-cut boxes with interlocking closures (standard FEFCO 0427 model), with or without double adhesive strips for returns management; boxes with automatic bottoms for ultra-fast packaging; flat-pack packaging for shipping small items or publications; rigid envelopes made of microflute cardboard or kraft paper, and special shatter-proof packaging for shipping glass bottles. Each model can be customized in terms of dimensions and graphics to perfectly meet the customer’s needs.
- Are your cardboard boxes FSC-certified?
Yes, our entire production process is deeply committed to environmental sustainability. We use cellulosic raw materials sourced from environmentally responsible, certified forests or from controlled recycled sources. Upon customer request, we can produce FSC-certified packaging by incorporating the relevant traceability logo directly into the box’s print layout. Furthermore, we use only eco-friendly, water-based inks that contain no solvents or harmful substances, ensuring that our packaging is 100% recyclable and biodegradable.
